Lights in the world not partakers with the world.
Ephesians 5:7 ‘Therefore do not be partakers with them.’
The protection of the Lord surrounds His people.
He will never allow us to be tempted
beyond our growthand maturity in the gospel
but it is our responsibility to keep ourselves
from the lusts and pleasures of the world.
If we become partakers with the world
in seeking the fulfilment of selfish desires
then our life will resemble the world.
We will only shine as lights in the world
when Christ is seen to be Lord of our life.
His love will break down barriers and open hearts;
His peace will stand in contrast to the anxiety and turmoil of the world;
His joy will draw people to Jesus;
His grace will bring hope in a needful world.
